Painting

In our beginning painting classes, students will learn about perspective, under-paintings, color theory, and simple design elements, and more through fun projects. They will work in acrylic paint, creating realistic, abstract, monochromatic, and still life projects, to help them understand painting as a wide and vast-encompassing medium.

Our advanced painting students will have freedom on topics, and we will go into more depth on color theory, technique, and the painting process, to help them develop their own artistic language. Our goal is to introduce students to many different mediums so they can use preferred techniques from different mediums and develop their own style and techniques. We want this ability to transfer to all different aspects of their lives.

Beginner (7-14 years)

Drawing

In our beginning drawing classes, student will learn the fundamentals of art, such as using shapes for more complex objects, understanding proportions, shading and coloring, using 1-point, 2-point, and 3-point perspective, and so much more. Our students will learn how to draw still life, landscapes and portraits. Subject matter is based on student interests and skill level, and no prior experience is necessary.

Students will have the chance to create realistic drawings, draw from their own perspective, and exercise their creativity.

Beginner (6-16 years)

Sculpting

In our beginning sculpture classes, students will be given easy, enjoyable projects to help them think outside the box and to practice useful but simple techniques. These projects will include abstract shapes made from traditional materials and also realistic shapes made from everyday objects, and are meant to broaden the students' idea of what sculpture could be.

Our advanced students will be able to embrace their own ideas by using these techniques and they will be allowed to experiment with their own imagination.

Our classes are meant to teach all students to work creatively, motivate their curiosity, think freely, and break the mold -- not just in art, but in their day-to-day lives.
